The Grand 1894 Opera House A year-round performing arts theatre. The theatre has been magnificently restored and is ranked among the nation's finest historical restorations. The Opera House is desingated as "the official Opera House of the State of Texas by the 73rd Legislature." No seat in the theatre is further than seventy feet from the stage, offering a spectacular view for a spectators. Moody Gardens Discovery Museum and IMAX Theatre One of Galveston Islands newest museums. As visitors enter this state-of-the-art facility, they are greeted by a life-sized moving and talkng hologram that acquaints them with unusual surroundings. The interactiv eexhibits were developed in cooperation with NASA's Johnson Space Center. The IMAX RIDEFILM THEATER features a 180-degree wrap-around screen. Lone Star FLight Museum Home to one of the finest collections of restored aircraft and aviation exhibits in the nation. Over 40 restored aircraft are displayed and most are in working condition.
